Welcome to MCAS

Mobilising Community Action Scotland (MCAS) is CEMVO Scotland's new four-year programme that aims to empower Scotland's ethnic minority communities to play a vital role in tackling the climate and nature crises at home, and enable deeper, more supportive connections with the Scottish natural world.

Funded through the National Lottery's Climate Action Fund, the project is delivered in partnership with Changeworks and Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park Authority.

The programme brings together two connected strands of work. Through Energy Saving, delivered with Changeworks, MCAS supports households and communities to take control of their energy use - reducing bills, tackling fuel poverty and building knowledge of the green technologies that can make homes warmer, healthier and more affordable.

Through Nature Connection, delivered with Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park Authority, MCAS creates the conditions for communities to further develop their own meaningful relationship with the natural world in Scotland - from local green spaces to Scotland's first National Park.

UPDATES

We’re working on a new MCAS website—built to bring people together, share the difference communities are making, and offer practical support to help create positive change across Scotland.
